Civic Endeavour Awards
North Down Borough Council runs an annual Civic Endeavour Awards Scheme to recognise the contribution of those who live and work in North Down to the life of the Borough.
The Scheme was first initiated in 1995 and since then more than 50 local people have been honoured with an Award.
Nominations can be made on-line or by using the downloadable application form below.
The 2010 Scheme is now open for nominations.
Entries must be received no later than noon, Friday 12 February, 2010. Postal entries should be sent to: 'Civic Endeavour Awards', North Down Borough Council, Town Hall, The Castle, Bangor, BT20 4BT.

Nominations can be made to any of the five Award categories listed:
- Voluntary Community Work
- Service to the General Public
- Humanitarian Services
- Service to the Arts and the Environment
- Young Person of the Year Award
Nomination forms will be assessed by a judging panel made up of Mayor and two other representatives from North Down Borough Council. The Council’s Community and Cultural Services Manager is also a member of the Judging Panel.
The Awards will be presented at a Gala Dinner in Bangor Town Hall in April.
