Bangor Sportsplex
Bangor Sportsplex was opened to the public in 1997 in it's first phase with 2 floodlit sand based synthetic pitches. The second phase of 2 grass soccer pitches was opened in 1998 and the Sports Complex was completed in 2001 with the addition of an International standard Athletics Track. The synthetic pitches and athletics track each have their own covered spectators stand.
The Centre is currently undergoing refurbishment of it's synthetic pitches, with the athletics track having been refurbished in Summer 2007.

Athletics Track
These facilities are well complimented by a pavilion, which as well as providing 10 group changing rooms has a lounge, social area with balcony viewing and a kitchen.
Bangor Sportsplex is also the base for North Down Athletics Club where a member of staff can put you in contact with one of the club coaches or officials.
However, the Centre operates an Annual Membership scheme, which caters for international athletics and recreational novices or those interested in just walking for fun or fitness. (Click here for prices)

Pitches
Normally one synthetic and 2 grass pitches are available for hire. (Please note that the grass pitches are closed from mid May to mid August for annual maintenance).
The synthetic pitches can be used for multi sport training and for competitive hockey and soccer matches. (Click here for prices).
Function Rooms
The Social Area (7x7 metres) and Lounge (8x10 metres) are multi-function rooms and are available for hire to schools, clubs, and meetings for groups and sports clubs etc.
A most popular booking here is the children's birthday parties, with a typical package of 1 hour synthetic pitch and 1 hour social area. We also facilitate bookings for family parties (birthday, engagement, christening, etc.), conferences and training seminars.
The entire complex can also be hired on a daily basis for corporate hospitality for businesses wishing to reward their staff with a fun-filled sports day using an 'It's a Knockout' type event.
Opening Hours
Bangor Sportsplex is open 7 days a week.
Our opening hours are:
• Monday to Thursday 9am to 10pm
• Saturday 9am to 5.30pm
• Sunday 1pm to 5.30pm
Bangor Sportsplex is closed on all Public Holidays

Bangor Sportsplex is located on the Old Belfast Road off the A2, just 2 miles from Bangor town centre and 6 miles from Holywood.
