The Museum Service exists, in its Mission Statement, "......to champion the natural and built heritage of the Borough; it will record, reflect and promote the 'story' of North Down for the benefit of the present and future generations, as well as the Borough's cultural tourists."


An out-centre, Cockle Row cottages in Groomsport, is open from May to October.

Entry to the buildings is free, but we welcome donations toward furtherance of our aims.

Tuesday to Saturday 10.00am - 4.30pm
Sundays 2.00 - 4.30pm

We are also open on Mondays in July and August
and on Bank Holiday Mondays
