VICTORIAN WEEK
For some time now North Down Museum has held a
week in June to celebrate all things Victorian

The Programme
We hope to open the exhibition in the gallery for Bank holiday Monday
The exhibition includes a wide range of items - linens, silverware,
furniture, and costumes, along with items from the kitchen,
laundry and nursery. There will be something to interest all ages.

Each morning from Tuesday 1st - Friday 4th the gallery will be
booked for school visits when Primary school children will be
entertained by guides in costume. This will be followed by a guided
tour of the grounds of Bangor Castle, a lesson in croquet on the West Lawn
and finish up in the walled garden for a spot of vegetable planting.
These sessions must be booked in advance.
(£1 per child)
The exhibition is open to the public each day from 12.00pm - 4.30pm
and usual opening hours at weekend. (admission free)
